In North America, you are entitled to request your credit report once every 12 months via snail mail. We highly recommend you do this once a year. Not only to provide visibility to what creditors see about you, but it will also provide insight if you've been a victim of identity fraud.

In the US, you are entitled to one report per year, per credit company. If possible, stagger your requests about every four months throughout the year.
