Jump to navigationJump to searchFile Transfer Protocol. This is one of the earliest means of transferring files from one computer to another computer on the Internet. Unlike most known protocols known today FTP uses 2 ports, one for control and the other for data. The ports for FTP are 20 and 21 for data and control respectively. If one is not sure check the /etc/services file for those two ports what they are.
